The Farm Market at NCC returned for the 2024 growing seasons, for neighbors' midweek opportunity to #shoplocal!

The market featured fresh, certified organic produce from Farmer Kegan Hilaire and his team at Blackbird Farms, now growing on three acres at the East 40. Depending on the season, other produce choices were available from local growers like Newhard Corn Shed and Scholl Orchards.

The market also featured tasty treats, both sweet and savory - along with freshly-baked breads and rolls - created by the NCC Baking & Pastry class students. Their selections were very popular and sold out quickly!

The market also featured other local vendors' products like fresh cut flowers from Beau Design Co. and Bubbly Hill Farm, herbal teas from Katydid Hill Farm, dried herbs and seasonings from Blue Sun Growers, honey from Rodale Institute, and coffee beans from Monocacy Coffee.

Shoppers could also enjoy a complimentary cup of Monocacy Coffee, freshly-brewed (served in sustainably-sourced cups donated by our friends at Green Pond Packaging) and they picked up info from community partners.

Bonus: good conversation and connection with the folks who grow and prepare your food!
